Rashid is the founding Advocate of Mbwiza & Company Advocates, a small, senior practice in Kwale with active matters across Diani and the Coast. He has built his career around an unfashionable idea: that the best legal outcomes are the ones a client understands, controls, and can live with.
That conviction is the reason he trained and certified as a mediator long before it was a common move for a litigator. It is the reason he has served the Judiciary as a Court-Annexed Mediator in Mombasa since 2020. And it is the reason the firm is, in practice, a mediation-first practice — litigation, when it is the right answer, is brought with the same discipline and care.
The work is varied, the clients are different, but the way we work does not change. Every engagement is anchored in the same four commitments.
You will always understand what we are doing, why, and what it will cost. No legalese fog, no surprise invoices.
If a quieter path serves you, we will recommend it — even if that means a smaller brief for the firm.
Every matter is handled by the Advocate. There is no hand-off to a junior you did not meet.
Your matter is private. We treat it that way, in writing, in conversation, and in how we use technology.
From the County Government of Kwale, through associate roles in Mombasa, to founding his own practice — Rashid's career has been deliberately broad. The pattern is consistent: lean into the hard things, learn the craft, then turn it outward.
